Honda Pilot – Auto Shows – Car and Driver
Unlike the Passport—Honda’s Isuzu-built SUV—the all-new Pilot was Honda-designed and will be built by Honda in North America.
Pilot was designed to be bold and distinctive with classic SUV proportions, a wide stance, upright roof pillars, and a large greenhouse. Under the hood is an advanced 3.5-liter 24-valve VTEC V-6 engine, which is mated to a five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. Honda’s innovative VTM-4 (Variable Torque Management 4WD) full-time, four-wheel-drive system—first seen in the Acura MDX—applies power to the pavement. Read the rest of this entry »
